Merimbula is approximately 600 kilometres from Melbourne via the Princes Highway (A1) and 465 kilometres from Sydney via the Princes Highway (A1) – 1 hour by air from both cities. From Canberra the distance is 241 kilometres.

 A fleet of charter boats are available to test your skills in the lake or if you fancy a spot of game fishing then there are state of the art game fishing boats to take you out to the wild blue yonder where you can pit your skills against the courageous and beautiful marlin, broadbill, shark or tuna. A lot of respect is shown to these gallant fighters with most tagged and released..

Stroll along the picturesque main street exploring the intriguing alleys as you go. Take your pick of the first class restaurants, clubs, bistros and cafes many of whom create their own style of unique flavousrs from fresh, local produce such as oysters, calamari and prawns.

Golfers and bowlers flock to Merimbula to play some of the finest courses and greens in the country. The Pambula-Merimbula 27 hole course is recognized as one of the finest courses in NSW with facilities second to none.

4 kilometres from Merimbula is the 18 hole Tura Beach Golf Course which was designed by Peter Thompson with spectacular views of the coast Turra Beach also has a bowling green, tennis courts plus clubhouse, bistro and pokies.

The Merimbula-Imlay Bowling Club and the Merimbula RSL are high class venues with pokies , excellent facilities and superb meals at family prices.
